A.AdCanopy requires a Windows based IIS server that supports the .NET Framework 2.0 that supports serving ASP.NET 2.0 web applications.
Q.What database server is required to run the AdCanopy application?
A.AdCanopy has been built to use Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and higher. We support the new freely distributable SQL 2005 Express editions to save money on purchasing a database license.
Q.What browsers are compatible with the AdCanopy administration application?
A.Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher on a widows based pc is required to access the administration application and to generate reports.
Q.Will AdCanopy run on a shared web hosting environment?
A.Yes, AdCanoy will run on a shared hosting environment as long as the host supports the required system requirements. Installation does not require any registered components on the server and can be installed by FTP.
Q.How easy is it to install the AdCanopy ad serving software?
A.Installing AdCanopy is very simple and outlined in the installation manual. The basic steps are to create a new database and run the included creation scripts. Next you create a new virtual directory or website and upload the application files it and updated the connection string to the newly created database. With a little setup you will be serving ads in less than five minutes.
Q.Can I server ads to more than one website?
A.Yes, AdCanopy can server ads to more than one website. We have three types of licensing, one that services to one website, one that serves two different websites, and one that will server unlimited websites for one name server.
